"On the Other Side of the Fence" is a touching documentary about a musical (by the same name) that was created to foster empathy and partnership between children from two Philadelphia schools for over 30 years. 

  

The film follows the process of this unique musical theater framework specifically designed and directed by music therapist Andrea Green to promote empathy, compassion and acceptance. 

 

Film director Henry Nevison takes an inside look into the developing relationships between the children from Germantown Friends School and the HMS School for Children with Cerebral Palsy as they participate in rehearsals and in performance.
